The location is right on Route 66 and great for walking around downtown Williams. It is also a quick walk to the train depot. If you enjoy history, this is the hotel for you. They have a super cool Victorian Library in this hotel. They also have some neat historical items on display. The rooms are entered using a code, so you don't have to worry about a key. The lobby is super cool as well and a neat patio on the second floor. The hotel does provide a refrigerator to store items in and a microwave to use in the Ice storage room. I love the historical charm of this place. Our room did not have a TV, and we were in an interior room, but it had neat historical charm to it. The continental breakfast had some wonderful scones, yogurt and muffins. The bed was comfortable. They have this really cool antique desk in the Victorian library with replica Grand Canyon Hotel stationary to use. I thought this was awesome. They also had old books and games to play. One of my favorite areas in the hotel. Access is super easy. They do have some parking behind the hotel. Plenty of parking on 2nd street.

We had stayed here before (a few years back) and now it has new owners and a remodel. It was fantastic! The rooms and the whole facility are clean and fresh. The library was decorated beautifully and there were games there to play. They kept all the charm of the old girl with just a fresh new touch. The location could not have been better. We were in town three days and never used the car. Walking distance to all the fun of Williams. There is no elevator so if you’re unable to do the stairs you will want to book on ground floor. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and right on site for any questions. The morning continental breakfast was nice, fresh muffins from a local bakery, fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea. I’d highly recommend if you love the charm of the old buildings that have been preserved so well.

What a vibe! This place is downright gorgeous inside and will make you feel like you've stepped a hundred years back in time. They've obviously maintained it well and updated the decor enough wherever needed but they've done so without killing the old charm. At check-in, I was greeted by two of the friendliest hostesses ever, who were all too happy to tell me the history of the place, the town, and give me endless tips on where to go within walking distance for the best margarita, the best Mexican food, the best breakfast, where to check out the haunted history/lore of the town, etc. My room, while small, was squeaky clean, well appointed with amenities like towels and make up removal cloths etc., and matched the quality of decor and charm of the rest of the hotel. Highly recommend staying here.

I loved the location (on historic Route 66), the cozy and opulent atmosphere, the decor with the gilded mirrors and frames on the walls, the beautiful carpets, crystal lamps and interior plants. We stayed in Room 15 which was spacious and clean with large comfortable beds and pillows. This is a gem of a hotel. It truly transported me back in time.I constantly found myself admiring this beautiful buulding which is a piece of US history. For me everything was picture perfect. I wish we had had more time in Williams, so I could spend a few more days/nights at this hotel. If you love historic boutique hotels, you will adore The Historic Grand Canyon Hotel.

The manager was fabulous - helpful and personable. Brittney definitely made the stay an experience. We had an issue (of our making, not the hotel) and Brittney went out of her way to help us improve our stay. Rooms were modern and clean, especially for an old hotel. The bathroom shower in the queen room was recently improved to be a tall rain shower and was perfect for both my tall husband and my short self - it's rare to get a nice shower in a hotel. It was very nice after a long day out and about. Breakfast scones were DELICIOUS and library was a great place to hang out and read while I let my husband sleep in.
